Tyler Hooper Named NAIA Second Team All-American

Siena Heights men's lacrosse goaltender Tyler Hooper was named Second Team All-American by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, as announced by the governing body on Tuesday.

The junior started for the Saints in every contest this season, boasting a .621 save percentage while making 126 saves for SHU. He made a career-high 20 saves against WHAC foe Lourdes in the final game of the season.

Hooper is one of 12 athletes to be named NAIA Second Team while 14 athletes were named NAIA First Team All-American. Only two goalies were selected out of the 26 All-American athletes, Hooper claiming the Second Team spot.

The Saints finished their season 7-3 overall with a 4-3 conference slate. Siena Heights ranked No. 10 in the final NAIA Top 10 Poll.
