#10 Men's Lacrosse Shuts Down Concordia

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The tenth-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team shutout Concordia 14-0 in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up, on Tuesday.

Scoring the game-winner with 12:22 remaining in the first quarter was Danny Kreitzer, his lone goal of the match.

Shane Lewandowski and Nicholas Lyons led the Saints (4-1, 1-1 WHAC) with three goals and three assists each. With two goals a piece was Alex Gilbert and Nathan Lipon while four Saints added a goal: Parker Richards, John Holowaty, Ryan Mamo and Kreitzer.

Broderick Ames went 5-of-9 in faceoffs while teammate Travis Bird won 4-of-8 faceoffs for Siena Heights. 

Concordia (1-6, 0-5 WHAC) was led by Oliver Niedzwiecki with seven shots, including four on goal. Brendan Beerer went 5-of-7 in the faceoff circle.

Defensively, Michael Birt III led SHU with eight groundballs and two caused turnovers. Tyler Hooper earned the shutout in goal, stopping ten shots. Reggie Thompson stopped seven shots for CUAA.

Next up, Siena Heights will host Indiana Tech in a WHAC contest. Opening faceoff is slated for 7 p.m. on Saturday.
