Siena Heights Men's Golf Ties for Fifth in Stroke Play Portion of WHAC Preview

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team tied with Indiana Tech for fifth during the stroke-play portion of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Preview held at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek, Michigan, on Monday. The Saints finished with a +24 (324) in the tournament to settle for fifth in the team standings.

Lawrence Tech sat atop the team standings with a +2 (290), which was 16-strokes better than second place UNOH. Lourdes and Madonna each finished +19 to tie for third. Cleary and Cornerstone hit +30 to fall into a tie at seventh. Concordia (Mich.) was ninth with a +33 as the Cardinals edged Aquinas with a +34. Michigan-Dearborn (+53) and Rochester (+55) ended the team standings.

Benjamin Ellis tied for the top spot in the individual standings with a -2 (70) on the day. Colin Duffy shot a +5 (77) to tie for 15th. Garrett Ramos scored a +9 (81) for an eight-way tie for 32nd. Davis Longyear had a +12 (84) to tie in 46th, while Grady Morlock shot a +17 (89) for 57th.
