SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. – The Siena Heights men's golf team began the Spring season with a seventh-place showing at the Heritage Hill Collegiate hosted by Lawrence Tech in Shepardsville, Kentucky Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27. The Saints finished the two-day tournament with a team score of 656 (334+322).
Thirteen teams competed in the tournament. Lawrence Tech finished atop the team standings with a score of 607. Marian was second with a 612, while UNOH was third with four strokes more than the Knights. Lawrence Tech (B) was fourth with a 636. Madonna finished off the top five with a 645.
Davis Longyear led the Saints with a final score of 162 (86+76) to tie for 24th in the individual standings. Benjamin Ellis scored 166 (81+85) to tie in 32nd. Colin Duffy claimed 37th with a final score of 167 (81+86). Garrett Ramos tied for 42nd with a two-day total of 170 (86+84). Jakob Gross was 52nd with a 177 (100+77) to finish the Siena Heights scoring.
Trent Moody was one of five golfers on the SHU B-Team and placed 49th as an individual with a final score of 173 (91+82). Grady Morlock finished 56th with a 183 (92+91). Christopher Mumby tallied a 188 (93+95) for a tie at 61st. Michael Rampe Jr. and Drew Grennes rounded out the individual results for SHU with scores of 192 (98+94) for 64th and a 204 (108+96) for 67th.
