Men's Golf Kicks Off Season Tied for Second Place at Lawrence Tech Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team scored a team score of 328 (+40) to tie for second place in the Lawerence Tech Invitational at the Washtenaw Country Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Davis Longyear (sophomore, Stevensville, Mich.) led the Saints with a final score of 79 (+7) to tie for fifth place in the individual standings.

Colin Duffy (junior, Pinckney, Mich.) was one stroke shy (80) of tying with Longyear to tie for eighth with a score of +8. Trent Moody (junior, Monroe, Mich.) finished third on the Saints with an 82 (+10) to tie for 12th. Michael Rampe Jr. (sophomore, East Lansing, Mich.) scored an 87 (+15), tying for 24th. Nate Hamilton (senior, Plymouth, Mich.) finished off the scoring for SHU with a final tally of 89 (+17) to tie for 30th. Drew Pitts (freshman, Hillsdale, Mich.) played as an individual and scored a 106 () for 42nd place.

The Saints will continue their season this Friday, October 2 at the Cleary Invitational held at the Chemung Hills Golf Course in Howell, Michigan.
