AUGUSTA, Mich. -- Nicholas Sanscrainte took seventh place to help the Siena Heights men's golf team to a sixth place finish at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, on Monday and Tuesday, at the Stonehedge Golf Club.

After the first day of action, Sanscrainte was sitting in seventh with a two round score of 150, carding a 76 and 74 respectively on the 72 par course. In the final day of action, Sanscrainte shot two-under par, 70, to go +4 in the three round tournament at 220. Winning the tournament in a playoff was G. Garcia-Parada from Northwestern Ohio, shooting 207 at the tournament, nine under par.

Aaron Bitz managed a three round score of 229 (81-75-73), to tie for 18th. The next scoring golfer for the Saints was James Kuenzer, hitting a 243 (87-78-78) to earn 36th.

Drew Whelan carded a total score of 247 (80-86-81) as he tied for 36th while James Monteith shot a 248 (85-85-78) to tie for 39th.

As a team, Siena Heights carded a three round score of 933, going 322 through the first 18 holes, improving to 312 in the second round and scoring a 299 in the final day of action.
