Men's Golf Claims Seventh at the WHAC Championships

AGUSTA, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's golf team finished seventh at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship in three rounds of action, on Tuesday and Wednesday. SHU played all three rounds at the Stoneridge Golf Club with a 72 par for the 6624 yards course.

Nick Sanscrainte led the Saints with a total score of 219, shooting 75 and 74 the first two rounds and ending with a 70 in the final round to tie for 11th place. Justin Phal from Madonna won with a score of 205 (70-69-66).

Earning 32nd for SHU was Jimmy Monteith with a 232 (76-78-78) while Nick Burnham finished 41st with a 240 (87-78-75). Aaron Bitz rounded out the scoring for the Saints with a stroke total of 245 (79-79-87) to take 44th.

Winning the tournament with an overall score of 852 was Madonna, beating Northwestern Ohio in a playoff for the title. SHU ended the tournament with a stroke total of 926, holding their seventh place rank in both days of action.
