Men's Golf Sits at 12th Midway Through The Motor City Invitational

DEARBORN, Mich. -- After a weather-delayed start the Siena Heights men's golf team finished 12th in day one of the two-day Motor City Invitational, on Sunday.

As a team, the Saints shot a 331 to sit in 12th place. First place Grand Valley State shot a 294 in round one while WHAC opponents Madonna, Lourdes and Davenport are at sixth, seventh and ninth, respectively.

Currently, top-SHU finished is Wyatt Spalding with an 8-over par, 80 on the 6795 yards course. Hunter Walsh shot an 81 for the Saints.

Nick Sanscrainte and Jimmy Monteith each totaled an 85 through the first round. Aaron Bitz carded a 96 to round out the Saints scoring.

The final round of the Motor City Invitational will continue on Monday.
