Men's Golf Fifth at Cleary

BRIGHTON, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's golf team placed fifth among eight teams at the Cleary Fall Invitational, which took place at Chemung Hills.

Nicklaus Zanotti shot a 78 and tied for seventh to lead the Saints on the 6,438-yard, par-72 layout.

Nick Burnham fired an 81 and tied for 17th, Michael MacLean had an 83 to tie for 21st and Nick Sanscrainte and Collin Smith tied for 24th with 84s.

Cleary won the team championship with a score of 307 and was followed, in order, by Grace, Ind. (311), Manchester, Ind. (320), Jackson Community College (325), Siena Heights (326), Spring Arbor (330), Lourdes, Ohio (332) and Rochester (347).

Cleary's Devin Young and Manchester's Nick Lyon tied atop the leaderboard with even-par 72s. Young was declared medalist in a tiebreaker.

Siena Heights will return to competition on Sept. 28-29 at Grand Rapids Community College's Arnie's Invitational.
