Men's Bowling Wins Program's First Tournament, Cadwell Throws 299 For New SHU Record

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's bowling team competed in their own, Siena Heights Halo Classic at Lenawee Recreation Bowling Center and won it's first ever tournament in program history. 

On it's way to the first place finish, the Saints threw six individual games and eight Baker games. Leading the Saints was William Shaffran bowling a six game total of 1303 and earning first place overall. Steven Cadwell finished with a total pin fall in six games of 1209 and set a Siena Heights record for high game with a score of 299. Keith Reid also finished with a 1209 in six games followed by Joshua Criscenti with a 1098 total.

In individual games, SHU bowled a team 6010, including a new school record in the sixth game for team high game with a score of 1148. 

In eight Baker's games, Siena Heights finished with a 1449, giving them an overall team total of 7459 which was also a new school record for total pin-fall. 

Also competing in the Halo Classic was Bowling Green, Spring Arbor, Olivet, Rochester and Ferris State in second through sixth place respectively. 

Next up, the Saints will compete in th Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament No. 1 on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Lenawee Recreation Bowling Center in Adrian, Mich.
