Men's Bowling Competes at the 48th Annual Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's bowling team finished 36th in a 78 team field at the 48th Annual Hoosier Classic. On Saturday the Saints threw six games individually followed 15 baker games on Sunday.

Leading the Saints was William Shaffran with a six-game total pin-fall of 1171, including a game-high score of 267. Steven Cadwell and Keith Reid both fared well for SHU with a total pin-fall of 1131 and 1115, respectively.

As a team, SHU bowled 15 baker games. Breaking the games into three sets, the Saints bowled an 868 for games 1-5, a 1079 for games 6-10 and an 846 for games 11-15.

Winning the event with a total pin-fall of 9063 was Webber International. Siena Heights finished with a total pin-fall of 8228. Other WHAC schools competing were Lawrence Tech, Concordia and Madonna.

Next up, SHU will travel to Sterling, Mich. for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, hosted by Lawrence Tech, on Saturday Feb. 18.
