Adrian Earns Milk Jug Over Men's Basketball in the Annual Our Town Contest

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell 64-51 in the annual Our Town contest to crosstown rival Adrian, on Thursday.

The game stayed close through the first half as the Saints (5-8) tied it seven times after being behind, the score at 21-21 with 4:49 remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs (8-2) went on a run to earn a 34-28 lead heading into halftime. Adrian took a quick 11-point lead and were able to hold on for the remainder of the game.

Leading the Saints with 16 points and two assists was Nick Randle while Tony Jackson II managed 10 points. Josh Winowiecki helped the SHU defense with four blocks and nine defensive boards. For the Bulldogs, Justin Webster led with 19 points and 12 rebounds as Jeremy Kalonji tallied 18 points and 10 boards.

On the floor, SHU went 21-54 (38.9%) while going 3-17 (17.6%) in three-point land and 6-10 (60.0%) from the charity stripe. AC made 23-57 (40.4%) overall, managing 4-13 (30.8%) behind the arc and 14-22 (63.6%) from the line.

Siena Heights will return to action on Saturday as they host IU-South Bend for a 3 p.m. non-conference contest.
