Men's Basketball Falls to WHAC Opponent Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Keith Jordan Jr. scored 19 points in the Siena Heights men's basketball 73-70 loss to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent, on Saturday.

In the first half, Siena Heights held a 12-point lead at the 14:23 mark but the Warriors fought back strong, earning a 36-32 lead at halftime. Indiana Tech managed to keep their lead for the remainder of the game, SHU coming close to a comeback but unable to take the lead.

Leading the Saints (3-3, 1-1 WHAC) was Jordan with 19 points, four rebounds and two blocks. With 17 points for SHU was Trevor Holston, also grabbing four boards. Point guard Nick Randle scored nine points while adding five assists and three steals. For the Warriors (6-0, 2-0 WHAC), Darren Groves earned 22 points and six boards. Max Huber and Joel Wincowski earned 13 and 12 points, respectively.

From the floor, Siena Heights went 27-55 (49.1%) while going 5-17 (29.4%) in three-point land and 11-14 (78.6%) from the charity stripe. The Warriors shot 27-56 (48.2%) from the floor, 6-19 (31.6) behind the arc and 13-19 (68.4%) from the free throw line.

Next up, the Saints will host NAIA No. 1 Cornerstone, on Tuesday. Tipoff for the WHAC contest is set for 1:30 p.m.
