Men's Basketball Edges Concordia in WHAC Action

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team won a close contest over Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Concordia, 65-62, on Wednesday.

The flow of the game was back and forth, the biggest lead of the night only seven points in SHUs favor. Siena Heights took the lead for good with 2:06 remaining in the game.

Leading the Saints to victory was Christopher Pearl, Tony Jackson II and Nick Randle. Pearl finished with 15 points, three assists and two blocks. Jackson made four blocks while adding 14 points and Randle tacked on 13 points with fours steals and two assists. Scoring 21 points for the Cardinals (7-13, 4-10 WHAC) was Connor Phee while Jerald Booker added 17 points.

From the floor, the Saints shot 25-for-56 (44.6%) and 7-for-21 (33.3%) behind the arc. CUAA went 22-for-64 (34.4%) from the floor and 1-for-8 in three point land. In free throws, Concordia led making 17-of-24 (70.8%) while SHU went 8-for-12 (66.7%).

Siena Heights (11-9, 6-7 WHAC) will be back in action when the Saints host Michigan-Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, in WHAC Action.
