Men's Basketball Drops Contest to Indiana Tech

FT. WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team faced off against Indiana Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Saturday and dropped the match-up with a score of 70-58.

In the first half, the Saints (10-9, 5-7 WHAC) fell into a ten point deficit on a couple occasions, but contintued to battle. At halftime, the Warriors led 38-30.

To begin the second half, Indiana Tech (15-5, 10-2 WHAC) knocked down a three to give them an 11 point advantage and they never looked back from there. The Saints were not able to gain any traction and fell to ITU.

Jerrell Martin led SHU with 16 points and nine rebounds. Chris Pearl added 13 points and seven rebounds.

CJ Bussey led all scorers with 18 points, four assists and three rebounds, while Tanner Watkins contributed 16 points. 

The Saints will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 18, when they take on Concordia in a WHAC match-up. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
