#7 Davenport Overwhelms Men's Basketball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball dropped a 84-57 Wolverine-Hoosier Conference contest to seventh-ranked Davenport, on Wednesday.

After a close first half, SHU trailed only five points to the Panthers, 38-33.

Opening the second half, DU went on a 16-0 run to go up 67-44 and didn't look back.

Leading the Saints was Tony Jackson II and Christopher Pearl, each earning 10 points. Four different Panthers (8-3, 3-1 WHAC) scored in double-digits: Kevin Rich, Dawid Czerniawski, Thomas Hood and Khadim Dieng.

The Saints shot 19-52 (36.5%) from the floor and 2-16 (12.5%) behind the arc. DU went 33-63 (52.4%) overall, including 4-16 (25.0%) in three-point land. From the charity stripe SHU went 17-25 while the Panthers went 14-19.

Next up, Siena Heights (4-4, 1-3 WHAC) will travel to the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor to take on Michigan-Dearborn for a WHAC contest. Tip-off is set for 10 a.m.
