Pearl Efforts Help Men's Basketball Recalim Milk Jug from Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Christopher Pearl scored 22 points in Siena Heights men's basketball 78-59 victory to win the Milk Jug in the annual "Our Town" game against Adrian, on Tuesday.

Adrian (2-1) started out the scoring early, holding a steady five point lead during the first eight minutes of action. A Kevin Smith II three-pointer sent SHU up 14-13, and the Saints never looked back.

With 4:18 remaining in the game, Siena Heights (4-2) took the biggest lead of the night, 71-49.

Leading the game with 22 points was Pearl, who also added three rebounds and four steals for SHU. Tony Jackson II earned 13 points, adding three rebounds an assist and a steal while Jerrell Martin tallied 10 points and grabbed seven boards for the Saints.

DaVonte Harris and Justin Webster scored 15 and 14 points for the Bulldogs, respectively.

The Saints shot 19-21 (90.5%) from the free throw line as the visiting Bulldogs shot only 11-20 (55.0%) at the line. SHU went 26-58 (44.8%) overall while shooting 7-16 (43.8%) in three-point land. AC went 22-59 (37.3%) as a team and 4-17 (23.5%) behind the arc.

Next up, Siena Heights will travel to Madonna for a 3 p.m. tip-off. The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic will take place on Saturday, Nov. 26.
