Men's Basketball Unable to Hold On Against #20 Indiana Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team couldn't hold on as No. 20 Indiana Tech defeated the Saints 71-67 in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest, on Saturday.

Leading the Saints was Josh Winowiecki with 13 points and 11 rebounds, 10 defensive. Also with 13 points was Tony Jackson II, adding four assists and two blocks for SHU.

Siena Heights took the lead with 13:04 remaining in the first half. The Warriors held SHU within seven for the rest of the game, eventually taking the lead 68-67 with 2:31 remaining in the game. SHU was unable to score and dropped the nail-biter, 71-67.

With 28 points and eight rebounds, Miles Robinson helped lead the Warriors to their come back victory. Scott Schwieterman scored 16 points for Indiana Tech.

As a team, SHU shot 22-59 (37.3%) overall and 5-19 (26.3%) in three-point land. Indiana Tech went 21-53 (39.6%) overall and 7-22 (31.8%) behind the arc. At the line the Saints shot 18-25 (72.0%) while the Warriors went 22-29 (75.9%).

Next up, Siena Heights will host Adrian in the annual "Our Town" game. Tip-off is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m., following the women's game against Adrian at 6 p.m.
