Goodman Scores 26 in Men's Hoops Loss to Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- George Goodman led the Saints with 26 points in a 78-74 loss against WHAC opponent Indiana Tech, on Wednesday.

The biggest lead of the night belonged to the Saints (9-14, 5-10). With 7:41 remaining in the first half, Myles Copeland made a lay-up to make it 23-14. The Warriors went on to take the lead before halftime, leading 38-35.

Copeland tied the game up with a free throw, 71-71, with 4:00 on the clock. Indiana Tech went on a 7-3 run to steal the lead and ultimately the game from SHU.

Jerrell Martin finished with a double-double on the night, 15 points and 11 boards. He also added three blocks for the Saints. Christopher Pearl added 12 points and eight rebounds.

For the Warriors (16-7, 12-4), Dominique Walls led the game. Walls finished with 28 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Lavonte Davis ended the game with a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds, along with seven blocks.

As a team, SHU shot 27-61 (44.3 percent) on the floor, 8-13 (61.5 percent) behind the arc and 12-15 (80.0 percent) from the free throw line. Similarly, Indiana Tech finished 33-72 (45.8 percent) from the field, 6-21 (28.6 percent) in three-point land and 6-9 (66.7 percent) from the charity stripe.
