Men's Hoops Falls to Cross-Town Rival

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell to cross-town rival Adrian, 76-62, in a non-conference game, on Tuesday.

The Saints took the lead early but the Bulldogs fought back and tied the score up, 14-14. The Bulldogs then went on a run that left the Saints trailing by 10 going into halftime.

With 14 minutes remaining in the game, Siena Heights took a 12-0 run. With 11:19 remaining on the clock, George Goodman made a layup taking the score to 48-49, still in Adrian's favor.

Adrian (5-0) pulled away from the Saints after going on an unanswered, seven point streak with eight minutes left on the board.

Goodman led the Saints in scoring with 14 points and five boards. Jerrell Martin added seven rebounds, four blocks and five points to the mix for the Saints (3-4). Michael Fomby helped Siena Heights with 12 points.

The Bulldogs' standout player was DeVonte Harris, who had 26 points and seven rebounds.

Siena Heights will be back in action, on Saturday, against Akron-Wayne. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
