ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team claimed a 116-63 decision over Akron-Wayne in a Maple City Classic contest on Friday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Javon Henderson finishd with 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench while Stone Beckwith and Trevor Holston added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Also for the Saints (1-1), Lee Gardner III had 12 points and Tyler Leighton grabbed eight rebounds. Nick Randle added nine assists and six steals, George Goodman had six assists, and Alec Myers made five assists.

As a team, SHU went 49 of 88 from the field (55.7 percent). The Saints outrebounded Wayne, 49-26.

The Warriors (0-2) were led by James Hunter, who had 15 points, and Brennen Johnson, who put in 11. Also, Gibson Siegrist finished with 10 points and Jon Hariharan had six rebounds.

In the first Maple City Classic game of the night, Lourdes (Ohio) defeated Judson (Ill.), 62-45.

The Maple City Classic will wrap up Saturday with games at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.  Lourdes will meet Akron-Wayne in the earlier game before SHU takes on Judson at 6.
