Al Romano begins his 4th season at Siena Heights after a long tenure in the high school ranks. He returns as the quarterback coach and has added the role of offensive coordinator to his duties.
Romano began his coaching at Sand Creek in 1975 before moving to Erie Mason in 1980 where he led the Eagles to a state title in 1987. A year later he took over as the head coach at Adrian High and led the Maples to consecutive regional championships in 1991 and 1992. His last stop in high school was a 4-year stint at Tecumseh where he coached a playoff team the last 3 years.
He was inducted into the Michigan High School Football Association Hall of Fame in March of 2009.
He and his wife Peggy reside in Adrian and are proud of their 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
