Steve Wilwohl is in his sixth year with the Siena Heights football program, returning as the running backs coach.
Along with coaching at his alma mater, Adrian College, Wilwohl has coached at several high schools, including Adrian Madison, Ottawa Hills (Ohio), Toledo Saint John’s (Ohio), Rossford (Ohio) and Anthony Wayne (Ohio).
At Anthony Wayne, in Whitehouse, Ohio, he was head coach for 17 seasons. Wilwohl also has considerable teaching experience, including 28 years in the Anthony Wayne Local Schools district, seven with Blissfield Schools and one with the Lucas County Alternate Learning Center in Toledo.
Wilwohl played college football at Adrian, where he is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. He also participated for the Toledo Patriots semi-pro team.
He graduated from Avonworth High in Pittsburgh, Pa., and then earned a bachelor’s degree from Adrian. He also took classes at Hillsdale and then went into graduate studies at both Siena Heights and Toledo.
Wilwohl lives with his wife, Amy. He has two children, Kevin and Amy, and two grandchildren, Michael and Emma.
