Three Saint Football Players Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

2019 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Release

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Three members of the Siena Heights football team were named to the 2019 Google Cloud College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football team in the NAIA - District 1. Sophomore running back Kaleb Jefferson (Bluffton, Ohio), senior receiver Jerrold King (Eastpointe, Mich.), and senior defensive lineman Andrew Loria (Sterling Heights, Mich.) joined 19 other student-athletes on the NAIA - District 1 team which includes schools from 22 states in the country.

Due to their selection to the all-district team, they now advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America™ consideration. The Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America™ team for the NAIA will be announced on Thursday, December 12.

Jefferson has totaled 836 yards on 142 carries and six touchdowns. His 836 rushing yards is ranked 20th in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as does his rushing yards-per-game with 92.9. The sophomore from Bluffton, Ohio broke two school records this year with the longest run from scrimmage of 95 yards and the most rushing yards in a game with 200. He also tied for the most touchdowns in a game with three. Jefferson has a 3.33 GPA and is majoring in sport management.

King has led the Siena Heights receivers with 21 catches for 324 yards and five touchdowns. King is a big-play receiver for the Saints as he is currently averaging 15.4 yards per catch on the year. King is also a sport management major with a 3.35 GPA.

Loria has 25 tackles on one of the top defenses in the NAIA. He is the best pass rusher for the Saints as he leads the team with 4.5 sacks this season. He has also recovered two fumbles during 2019. Loria studies business administration and has a 3.46 GPA.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District™ NAIA District I team features student-athletes from NAIA institutions in 22 different states and was voted on by Sports Information Directors in the region.
