#20 Saints Finish Regular Season By Hosting #15 Concordia For SHU Senior Day

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The #20 Siena Heights Saints football team hosts #15 Concordia (Mich.) for the 2018 regular season finale. The Saints achieved their first seven-win season in program history with the win over Lindenwood-Belleville last week.

Siena Heights come into the game with a 7-2 overall record and a 3-2 MSFA mark. Siena Heights began the 2018 campaign with back-to-back road contests for the first time in program history. The Saints also made history with their first 5-0 start. Siena began the year with a 21-7 win at Missouri Baptist and a 16-7 win at Olivet Nazarene. The Saints then won their home opener 40-0 over Robert Morris (Ill.) before another road win (38-27) over Saint Francis (Ill.) on September 22. Siena rolled to a 40-13 win over Taylor at homecoming that included a three-hour weather delay before the overtime loss to St. Francis (Ind.). The Saints cruised to a 31-10 win over first-year program Indiana Wesleyan the following week. Siena lost to #2 Marian (Ind.) 27-14. Last week, the Saints cruised to a 41-7 win over winless Lindenwood-Belleville.

Concordia comes into the game with an 8-2 overall mark and a 4-1 conference record this season. Concordia started the season 3-0 with 42-27, 51-7, and 27-18 wins over Malone, Trinity International, and Olivet Nazarene. The Cardinals suffered their first setback with a 7-0 loss to Robert Morris (Ill.). They bounced back with a 71-0 win over Lindenwood-Belleville before a huge 7-3 win over then #1 St. Francis (Ind.). Concordia won 28-7 over Missouri Baptist before the second loss of the season 48-17 against #2 Marian (Ind.). Currently, the Cardinals have won two straight with a 42-14 win over Taylor and a 55-7 win over Indiana Wesleyan.
 
This will be the seventh meeting between Siena Heights and Concordia in football. The all-time series is tied 3-3. The Saints won the first three meetings before the Cardinals flipped the series with a three-game winning streak. The Saints have been shutout the past two seasons. Last season, Concordia won 37-0.
 
This will be the third meeting at O'Laughlin Stadium. The first meeting took place on October 18, 2014, where the Saints won 33-3. Siena is 1-1 at home against Concordia.
 
The Saints are led offensively by the running duo of fifth-year senior D'aires Davis and redshirt freshman Jared Jordan. Davis is 100 yards away from achieving the 1000-yard rushing milestone for the season. He is currently averaging 112.5 yards-per-game and has scored once. Jordan has 543 yards on 121 carries and has scored 12 touchdowns. Tyler Knecht is 125-203 (61.6%) passing for 1496 yards and 10 touchdowns this season. His favorite target, Damon Wright Jr. has 36 receptions for 343 yards and three touchdowns.
 
The defensive unit is led by sophomore linebacker Nick Stalworth with 56 tackles, 3.5 TFL, and an interception returned for a touchdown. 4th-year junior Griffin Sobol has 51 tackles, 3.0 TFL, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, and three pass breakups.
 
On special teams, SHU is led by senior kicker Brady Tanguay. Tanguay is 9/16 in field goals (56%) with a long of 43 yards. Punter Caleb Meister has 1381 yards on 37 punts this year. He has pinned eight of his kicks inside the 20-yard line and has a season-long of 51 yards.
 
Concordia is led by quarterback Roger Engle who is 129-213 passing for 1786 yards and 12 touchdowns. On the ground, the Cardinals are led by Joe Conner with 153 carries for 992 yards and 13 touchdowns. Roderick Dailey is the leading receiver with 40 receptions for 566 yards and five touchdowns. Donte Desalle also has five touchdown catches on the year. He has hauled in 33 passes for 399 yards.
 
Jay Koski leads the team in tackles with 57. He has 16.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and two interceptions. Andrew O'Hara has 66 tackles, 8.0 TFL, 3.0 sacks, and one interception. Timothy Koehler has totaled 62 tackles, 1.5 for loss, one sack, and three interceptions. Ryan Fish leads Concordia (Mich.) with five interceptions on the year.
 
Ross O'Brien is 6-10 in field goals with a season-long of 33 yards. Andrew O'Hara is also the team's punter with 42 kicks for 1671 yards with a long of 59. He has also pinned 11 punts inside the 20-yard line.
