    FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) announced the MSFA All-Academic honorees over the holiday weekend. Brady Tanguay and Izayah Newsom highlighted the 10 Saint selections to the all-academic team. Tanguay and Newsom were the only two members of the Siena Heights football team that made the list for the third time.

    FINDLAY, Ohio -- The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) announced the league awards for both the Mid-East and Mid-West Leagues on Thursday. Malik Edwards (Port Huron, Mich.) and Trevon Claybourne (Redford, Mich.) were selected to the First Team All-MSFA while nine of their teammates made the second team and three others were honorable mentions.

    The Siena Heights football team was upended by the No. 2 Marian (Ind.) Knights 27-14 on Saturday afternoon. The Saints held a 14-10 lead late in the second quarter, but the Knights would capitalize on Saint turnovers and make a 4th and goal stop late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Tyler Knecht had a solid game at quarterback for the Saints completing 10-19 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing).

    FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The 20th-ranked Siena Heights football team lost in heartbreaking fashion to 13th-ranked St. Francis (Ind.) 22-19 in overtime. Gabe Callery led the Saints defense in the losing effort. The redshirt freshman was all over the field at the safety spot and registered four tackles, one for loss, and a fumble recovery. He also tallied an interception and a pass breakup in coverage.

    KANSAS CITY -- The Siena Heights football team moved up three spots in the fifth poll of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Saints went from No. 23 last week up to No. 20 this week. That ranking is tied for the highest ranking in program history (Nov. 10, 2014).

    ADRIAN, Mich. -- The 23rd-ranked Siena Heights University football team cruised to a 40-13 win over Taylor on 2018 homecoming. The game delayed for a little over three hours due to thunderstorms. Nick Stalworth led the dominant Saints defense with 10 tackles and a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Jared Jordan had a monster day on the ground racking up 125 rushing yards and a career-high three touchdowns.

    ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights football team rolled in the team's home opener with a 40-0 win over the Eagles of Robert Morris University. The final score was the largest shutout victory in the short history of Saint football. D'aries Davis continues to lead the offense as he accumulated 113 rushing yards on 17 carries for an average of 6.6 yards.

    BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- The Siena Heights football team began the season 2-0 after a second defensive battle on the road. The Saints used three field goals to pull out the 16-7 decision over the Tigers. Brady Tanguay (Trenton, Mich.) outscored ONU by scoring 10 points for Siena off of three made field goals and an extra point. He was 3/3 in three-pointers with a long of 43.

    ST. LOUIS -- The Siena Heights football team pulled out a 21-7 win over Missouri Baptist in a defensive battle on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore quarterback Tyler Knecht (King Mills, Ohio) was 9-15 passing for 111 yards to lead the Saints in the win. He also scored once through the air and once with his legs.
