Siena Heights senior defensive back Darius Price was named to the 2017 American Football Coaches' Association NAIA All-America First Team, as announced by the association Monday.
Only 11 athletes were named to the All-American First Team defense list, a total of 25 athletes were honored. Earlier this season, Price was named the Defensive Player of the Year for the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League.
Price, was an all-league defensive back for the first three years of his career prior to being named the Defensive Player of the Year and All-MSFA First Team in 2017 to help the Saints by logging 41 total tackles with 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, a forced fumble, two recovered fumbles and nine pass breakups.
