Football Hosts Missouri Baptist to Open MSFA Mideast League Action
 
 
THE GAME
The Siena Heights football team hosts Missouri Baptist to open the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League play. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday.
 
The Saints currently hold a 2-2 record after the convincing 34-16 victory over Saint Francis (Ill.), last weekend. This will be the first MSFA contest for both teams this season.
 
The visiting MBU Spartans are 1-3 on the season with their first victory coming last week over Saint Ambrose (Iowa), 42-37.
THE HISTORY
In the two previous contests between the Saints and the Spartans, SHU has won both events to hold a 2-0 record over MBU.
 
Siena Heights traveled to Missouri Baptist last season and used a strong second half to win it 38-10, scoring four touchdowns in the second half.

SHSN will provide live video for each Saints' home game. Play-by-play will be called by Chris Renwick with Doug Goodnough providing color commentary. Renwick is in his second year with the Saints broadcast team while Goodnough returns for his second consecutive season.
 
SHSN and WLEN 103.9 FM have also enjoyed a six-year partnership. All games will be audio-streamed online at WLEN.COM while select games will be broadcasted live on the radio.
 
UP NEXT...
The Saints will hit the road for a 1 p.m. MSFA Mideast League game against Taylor (Ind.), on Saturday, Oct. 7.
 
Currently, the Trojans hold a 2-1 record with the two victories coming over Malone and Trinity International. Prior to the match-up against SHU, the Trojans will face 13th-ranked Saint Xavier (Ill.) in their final non-conference game of the season.
