Football Takes First Road Trip to Robert Morris

THE GAME
The Siena Heights football team is set for the first road game of the year, heading down to Chicago, Ill. to take on Mid-states Football Association crossover opponent Robert Morris (Ill.). Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. EST on Saturday, Sept. 16.
 
Siena Heights currently sits at 0-2 for the season, losing to NCAA Div. II opponent Northwood and crossover foe Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)
 
Robert Morris dropped for the NAIA Top 25 after their 1-2 record so far this season, previously ranked No. 13. The Eagles won their first game over Bacone (Okla.) then fell to North Central (Ill.) and No. 8 Marian.
 
THE SERIES
This is the fourth varsity meeting of the Saints and the Eagles and the sixth meeting overall. SHU holds a clean 4-0 varsity record over RMU, including two club wins from the Saints inagural season in 2011.
 
Siena Heights first victory as a program came against Robert Morris on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2011, the first contest SHU ever played. The two teams faced each other later the same year, SHU again winning, 14-3.
 
The Saints have outscored Robert Morris 123-64 over the years, while winning by the largest margin of 23 points and the closest game by only one point.

SHSN will provide live video for each Saints' home game. Play-by-play will be called by Chris Renwick with Doug Goodnough providing color commentary. Renwick is in his second year with the Saints broadcast team while Goodnough resumes his role in SHSN for his second consecutive season.
 
SHSN and WLEN 103.9 FM have also enjoyed a five-year partnership. All games will be audio-streamed online at WLEN.COM while select games will be broadcasted live on the radio.
 
UP NEXT...
Siena Heights will return home for a 12 p.m. MSFA crossover contest against Saint Francis (Ill.) on Saturday, Sept. 23.
 
Currently, the USF Fighting Saints are 0-2 on the season with losses to NAIA 4th-ranked Morningside (Iowa) and 1st-ranked Saint Francis (Ind.). USF will rest this weekend, on their bye week, prior to take on the SHU Saints on Saturday, Sept. 23.
