Esports Announces Addition of League of Legends, Overwatch and Rocket League Teams

Siena Heights University is proud to announce the first three titles in its official coed esports program, League of Legends, Overwatch, and Rocket League. All three of these titles are heavy hitters in various collegiate circuits, and Siena Heights is ready to throw our halos into the ring.

We're also announcing our official partnership with the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). NACE organizes its own competitive leagues for each of these titles, and connects collegiate esports programs across the country to one another, enforcing a code of conduct similar to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), matching our other athletics programs. Our Esports Director and Head Coach John Macone is excited for the program, and ready to kick off its inaugural season. "Siena Heights has always looked forward with its initiatives, and the esports program is no exception. The pursuit of competition in esports has plenty to offer the university, and the needs of our students are always our top priority".

The esports program will offer scholarships to all team members, making it one of a select few to do so in the nation. We will also be building a professional esports arena for our teams and their competitive needs, planning to have it ready by the start of the Fall season, with more to announce coming soon.
