Angie Heath is in her ninth year as the head coach for the Siena Heights cheer and dance programs. She was previously the coach at Adrian College, guiding the Bulldogs from 2008 until 2012.

In her years at SHU, Heath has guided the Saints to the NAIA Invitational Championship for both cheer and dance in 2014 and 2015, also taking dance to the Inaugural NAIA Championship in the 2017 season.

Heath is currently the Chair of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Cheer Committee, where she played a vital role in making cheer a conference sport. She also spends time as the vice president of the NAIA Cheer & Dance Executive Committee, forging the way in making cheer and dance a championship sport.

Heath brings a strong background to the Saints’ new program. She is a certified member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators.

In her first year as coach, Heath coached both the cheer and dance squads to the Second Annual NCA/NAIA Invitational, which took place Apr. 11-15, 2012, in Daytona Beach, Fla. While at Adrian, she led the Bulldogs to a pair of solid performances at the 2011 Cheer Ltd. Nationals at CANAM in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Along with competing, Heath has the programs involved in projects both on campus and in the community.

Heath, herself, is an Adrian native and a 1987 graduate of Adrian High School. During her time at AHS, the Maples won the 1984 United States Cheerleading Association championship.

After high school, Heath attended Purdue University and graduated in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. As a Boilermaker, she was the Girl-in-Black – one of two solo twirling positions in the Purdue Marching Band.

Heath eventually moved back to Adrian in 2005 and was a cheerleading coach at Adrian Middle School. She was also an instructor at Maple City Gymnastics. Currently, she is the majorette coach at Adrian High.
