Dance Finishes Third at WHAC Championships

LIVONIA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive dance team placed third at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, which took place Friday at Madonna.

The Saints finished with an overall score of 80.13, just behind second-place Madonna (80.17). Aquinas, with an overall score of 82.12, won the WHAC championship.

SHU had the second-best score of 81.13 in prelims and trailed only Aquinas, whose prelim score was the day's top routine (83.00). Madonna had a 77.60 score in prelims.

During finals, Aquinas put together's the competition's second-best performance with 81.83 points. Madonna's 81.03 and SHU's 79.80 pushed the Crusaders just past the Saints and into the runner-up spot.

Concordia placed fourth with an overall score of 69.59, followed by Lawrence Tech (66.05) and Lourdes (64.99).
