ADRIAN, Mich.—The Siena Heights dance team landed third at the 2018 NAIA Cheer & Dance Northeast Regional Qualifier at the Siena Heights Fieldhouse, on Saturday.

Siena Heights scored 77.29 points to earn third place. St. Ambrose University placed first with a total of 85.58 points, followed by Aquinas College with 84.96 respectfully. Other competitors were the University of St. Francis (Ill.) with 63.29, Robert Morris University with 57.21 and Concordia University with 54.58 points.

In the preliminary round, Siena Heights scored a 74.13, including a .5 deduction. In the finals, SHU managed a 78.33 without deductions. The overall score includes 25% of the preliminary score and 75% of the final round score.

The Saints await their fate to see if they received an at-large bid the 2018 NAIA Cheer & Dance National Championships hosted in Oklahoma City, Okla., March 8-9.
