Cheer Finishes 7th at Saint Spectacular

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights competitive cheerleading team finished seventh at the Saints Spectacular on Saturday afternoon. The Saints finished with a total score of 71.35 after .75 worth of deductions. The team also had a dual against Midland (Neb.) to kick off the meet. The Warriors defeated the Saints 78.51 - 72.81.

Saint Ambrose won the competition with a score of 90.13. Concordia (Mich.) came in second place with a total score of 86.13. The Cardinals were followed by Indiana Wesleyan (82.33) and Midland (Neb.) (81.92). Lourdes fell to fifth with a score of 75.80 while Martin Methodist out of Tennessee finished with a 75.51 for sixth. Spring Arbor came after SHU with a score of 60.50 to edge Adrian College who tallied a 57.10. Mount Vernon Nazarene totaled a 52.90 to finish ahead of Rochester (38.80) to round out the standings for the meet.

Siena Heights makes the trip to Grand Rapids to compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships hosted by Aquinas this Friday, February 21.
