Cheerleading Claims Third at WHAC Championships; Sweet Named Second Team

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights cheerleading team earned third place at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, on Tuesday, with their best score of the season so far.

Winning the competition with a score of 89.77 was Lourdes, followed by Concordia with an 84.69 as the runner-up. The Saints claimed third with a score of 80.66, besting Aquinas and Indiana Tech with a 69.57 and 67.70, respectively.

Named Second Team All-WHAC was Kaileah Sweet. Honored as WHAC All-Academic performers was Jessie Barnhart, Alicia Devers and Lucielle Gould as Samantha Wright was named the SHU Champions of Character representative.

Next up, Siena Heights will close out the regular season as the Saints host the Halo Classic on Sunday, Feb. 18. The competition will start at 1 p.m.
