Kolasinski Coaches Final Home Games as Baseball Ends Regular Season Against #RV UNOH

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost a pair of games to #RV Northwestern Ohio on Sunday at Joseph K. McLaughlin Baseball Stadium. Northwestern Ohio won the first game 12-3 and completed the sweep by winning the second game 10-4. 

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, April 30, at the WHAC Tournament. 

Game One: Northwestern Ohio 12, Siena Heights 3 

Gino Hutchinson led SHU offensively, going 1-for-3 at the plate with one RBI. 

Garret Smith worked 4.1 innings, surrendering four earned runs off eight hits while striking out five batters. Benjamin Weadock came in, allowing six runs off seven hits, forcing one strikeout. Pearson Mendiuk worked 1.1 innings, forcing one strikeout. 

Northwestern Ohio scored one run in both the second and third innings. SHU took the lead in the fourth after Hutchinson recorded a two-RBI double and Justin Holton tallied an RBI single. 

Northwestern Ohio exploded in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring four in the fifth and plating six in the sixth. 

Game Two: Northwestern Ohio 10, Siena Heights 4 

Caden Gomes batted 3-for-5. 

Guy Young and Ethan Stines forced both strikeouts for the Saints. 

Northwestern Ohio scored nine runs after six innings. Jack Semler plated SHU's first run in the seventh with an RBI single. The Racers scored their final run in the eighth. 

Nick Zito recorded a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth, followed by RBI singles from Gino Hutchinson and Jack Semler.
