Baseball Loses Game One, Second Contest Suspended at CUAA

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team dropped the first game of a WHAC doubleheader against Concordia on Saturday before the second game was suspended. The host Cardinals won 7-2 and SHU holds the lead in game two, 3-1, in the third inning.

The Saints will return to play on Friday with a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Concordia.

Game one: Concordia 7, Siena Heights 2

Brock Olmstead and Matt Love (double) had two-hit games for the Saints. SHU's only runs were scored on a double play in the third inning and a sacrifice fly by Thomas Bakoway in the fifth.

Bakoway's sac fly closed SHU into a 3-2 deficit. CUAA scored the next four runs -- all in the sixth inning -- to pull away.

Brandon Biggerstaff started on the mount for SHU. He had three strikeouts and three walks in 5 2/3 innings.
