For the 8th year in a row, the Siena Heights Baseball Team have been honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with the Team Academic Excellence Award.
In order to qualify for the award, teams must have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 during the 2022-23 academic year. The award was earned by almost 800 programs, there were over 300 high school programs and more than 450 collegiate programs recognized. Siena Heights was one of only 33 programs in the NAIA to be honored.
The ABCA started the award during the 2015-16 academic year. Siena Heights is the only NAIA program that has earned the award in each of the eight years it has been awarded.
