SHU Loses DH to Dearborn

Adrian, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team lost two games this afternoon to open up WHAC conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Game 1:

The game was a pitching dual between the Saints and the Wolverines. Ried Olmstead would start the game for SHU and pitch eight innings, five strikeouts, and only two earned runs. The Wolverines struck first in the third inning to make it a 1-0 game. However, Siena would have a four run inning to go ahead. Hits by Brendan Green, Connor McCoy and Ryley Overacker all would score runs for SHU. UM-Dearborn would come back out in the 9th innings and put up 12 run against the Saints to take the commanding lead and win the game.

Game 2:

SHU started off scoring in the 1st inning as Logan Nolff hit a single to center field which would score a run. The game was 1-0 in the 2nd when Brenden Baker walked with bases loaded to score a run and make it 2-0. UM-Dearborn would score a run in the 3rd to make it a one run ballgame. Brenden Green would come up in the 4th inning and doubled to right center scoring a run to make the Saints lead 3-1. However, the Wolverines would score one run in the 5th and four runs in the 6th to take the lead which the Saints could not overcome.
