Baseball Splits Double-Header With Cleary

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team split it's non-conference double-header with Cleary on Saturday. The Saints fell in the first contest, 2-0 and won the second, 6-1.

GAME ONE: Siena Heights 0, Cleary 2
The Cougars opened scoring in the second inning and scored one more in the third to give them a 2-0 lead. Neither team scored the rest of the way and the Saints dropped game one. 

Brendan Green led SHU at the plate, finishing 2-for-3. Brenden Baker and Riley Guntrip recorded the other two Saints hits. Thomas Lindeman pitched the full game, allowing four hits and striking out three. Lindeman suffered the loss. 

GAME TWO: Siena Heights 6, Cleary 1
Siena Heights scored the first run of the game in the first and got hot in the second, scoring another four runs. Cleary scored their lone run in the sixth, and SHU tacked on one more to secure the victory. 

Freddy Jehle led the Saints batting 3-for-4, scoring two runs and recording one RBI. Thomas Lindeman finished 2-for-3 while scoring one run and one RBI. Tristan Roth started on the mound and went the distance, allowing nine hits and striking out three. Roth earned the win on the mound.
