Baseball Defeats Lawrence Tech in WHAC Contest

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights baseball team hosted Lawrence Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Saturday and grabbed the win by a score of 4-1.

The Saints opened scoring with one run in the first and another three in the third and was able to hold LTU to just one run in the sixth.

Freddy Jehle led Siena Heights by going 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring one run and driving in one RBI. Brenden Baker finished 3-for-4 batting, and knocked in an RBI for the Saints.

Reid Olmstead started on the mound for SHU, allowing seven hits and striking out four while pitching seven innings. In for relief was Chris McKiddie pitching two innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Next up, the Saints will host Lawrence Tech in a WHAC double-header on Sunday, Oct. 1 beginning at 1 p.m.
