Baseball Shutout by #19 Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The 19th-ranked Indiana Tech Warriors took down the Siena Heights baseball team in eight innings of action, SHU falling 10-0 on Monday in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest.

In the first inning, the Warriors (38-10, 22-16 WHAC) pushed one across the plate and didn't look back. SHU was out hit by Indiana Tech 2-14, Deric Cain earning both hits for the Saints.

Starting on the Hill and suffering the loss for the Saints (16-35, 12-17 WHAC) was Chris McKiddie, pitching 3.1 innings. McKiddie struck out two, allowed seven hits and five runs before relieved by Tristan Roth. Also seeing time on the mound for SHU was Ben Finn, Reid Olmstead and Nic Olson. Earning the win while pitching eight full innings was Cody Kellar for the Warriors.

Next up, the Saints will travel to Northwestern Ohio for the final double-header of the season on Friday. Opening pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
