Baseball Falls to Lawrence Tech

UTICA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team fell 5-3 to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference foe Lawrence Tech, on Sunday.

For the Saints, Reid Olmstead took the loss on the mound, tossing six innings for four strikeouts and allowed five hits.

Blunk earned the win for Lawrence Tech (1-5, 1-5), throwing 1.1 innings and striking out one.

Brendan Green led SHU after going 2-for-3 and earning one RBI. Bradley Connochie went 1-for-3 and earned two RBIs.

Siena Heights (4-2, 4-2) took the lead in the fourth inning, 3-2 but couldn't hold on. LTU added a run in the sixth and scored the winning runs in the bottom of the eighth.

The Saints will play their final three games of the 2016-17 fall season on Saturday and Sunday against WHAC-newcomer Rochester. The opening pitch is set for 4 p.m. for a double-header on Saturday and 2 p.m. for a single nine-inning game on Sunday.
