Baseball Wins Twice at Lawrence Tech

UTICA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team came away with two victories against Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Lawrence Tech, on Saturday. Game scores were 8-3 and 4-3, in the Saints' favor.

Ben Finn earned the win in game one with Erich Klingelhofer making the save for Siena Heights.

The Saints took the lead in the sixth inning, 3-2, and didn't look back. Leading SHU was Brenden Green, who went 1-for-3 and scored two runs. John Watts went 2-for-3 for the Saints, earning two RBIs.

In the second game, Chris McKiddie threw all nine innings for the Saints (4-1, 4-1), earning the win. McKiddie earned 11 strikeouts, allowing only five hits.

Watts went 4-for-5 at the plate in game two, earning one RBI. Kevin Ketvirtis, Brenden Baker, Ryley Overacker and Snyder Torres each scored a run for SHU.

SHU will travel to play Lawrence Tech (5-0, 5-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.
