GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team dropped the first two games in a four games series at Davenport with scores of 14-4 and 4-0, on Thursday.

In game one, Justin McPherson started on the mound for the Saints and threw for 2.1 innings, allowing 11 runs and taking the loss. Taylor Acquista relieved him in the third inning. Erich Klingelhofer closed for SHU (19-32, 10-20), allowing three runs in the eighth.

Siena pushed two runs across in the sixth and again in the eighth, Daniel Muller and Austin Forsythe each scoring twice. Davenport (37-13, 23-6) had 14 hits while SHU had seven.

Chris McKiddie threw all six innings of the second game for the Saints. Davenport sent one runner home in the first inning and three runs in the fifth for insurance. The Panthers outhit the Saints, 6-3.

Next up, the Saints will play at Davenport for their final two regular season games. The double-header starts at 1 p.m. on Friday.
