The following was printed on Krista (Purvis) Forys' HOF
plaque:
A Division I transfer from the University of Toledo and standout
prep player from Southern California, Krista Purvis brought instant
respectability to the Saints’ volleyball team with both her
leadership and talent.
In her junior season, Purvis led the Saints to 26 overall wins
and the second-best record in the history of the program. She
had a team-high 52 service aces (ranking #5 all-time in
single-season records) and 1,232 assists—the third highest
single-season total ever at Siena Heights.
As a senior captain, Purvis earned All-WHAC Conference and
AVCA-NAIA All-Great Lakes Region honors. An honorable mention
NAIA All-American in 1998, Purvis became the first Siena Heights
volleyball player to earn national recognition. In 2011, she
remains the only Saints’ volleyball player to be named to a
NAIA All-American team.
