The following was printed on Jessica Hawkins' HOF plaque:
Jessica Hawkins is regarded as one of the greatest all-around athletes ever to compete in track and field for the Saints. A three-time NAIA All-American during her three year Siena Heights career,
Hawkins earned her first All-America honor in the pentathlon at the 1999 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Lincoln, NE. Her 3,265 points set a new school record in the pentathlon and resulted in a sixth-place finish in the national championships. Hawkins finished her indoor career with another All-American performance at the 2000 NAIA Indoor National Championships. Her third NAIA All-American honor was also a record-setting performance at the 2000 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Hawkins placed sixth overall and set a school record in the javelin with a throw of 129-9. That record wouldn’t be eclipsed until a decade later in 2010.
